Thank You, Unified Champion Schools Teachers! 💐

Over 100 teachers, aides, administrators, and support staff from over 40 DC schools make Special Olympics in-school and out-of-school programming possible in the District. Year round, our teachers get it done, and carve out opportunities for their students to succeed! We appreciate you! You don't need to hear it from us... Listen to our Special Olympics DC youth talk about their favorite teachers!

Woodson High School students, their teachers, and SODC staff are taking part in this amazing exchange of culture, sport, and fun. We are so excited to be creating international connections through inclusive sport.

College Unified Builds Connections Across DC

In the second year of DC's College Unified Basketball League, connections were made and friendships built!

Students from Howard, Catholic, and American University Special Olympics Clubs, plus the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences Special Olympics Club joined teams of adult Special Olympics DC athletes. Our seasoned adult athletes showed the new Unified Partners the ropes, and within no time it was a competitive, joyful, and memorable experience. We can't wait 'til our college friends are back for more Unified fun in the fall!

      See photos from the league!
